Youth 3 – 14 years of age will be hitting the basketball courts at five Riverside community centers Saturday, January 10 as the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department kicks off the 2015 Youth Basketball season. The program offers youth an opportunity to participate in an organized sports league aimed at developing basic motor skills. Participants will receive hands-on experience in the game of basketball while learning the value of sportsmanship, developing healthy habits and working together in a team sport. Program benefits include developing physical skills related to the game of basketball and knowledge of rules and plays.
Participant recruitment for the 2015 Youth Basketball season is ongoing and will conclude on December 19. Register at RivReg.org or your local community center.
