Overview: Kelvin Moore, the current president of the West Valley Water District (WVWD) Board of Directors, is seeking another term as Director of Division 3, representing Rialto. Moore, who joined the WVWD Board in February 2022, has successfully used his extensive career in environmental services to assist the board in connecting with ratepayers and meeting community needs. He is also the Director of Environmental Services for Kaiser Permanente, a member of the Rialto Transportation Commission, and a board member for the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center Federal Credit Union and Fontana Pastors United. As local residents rally to the polls this election season most are focused on races that get the most attention. This includes the fight for mayor, party specific clamour over how many U.S. House seats will be controlled by which political party and the list goes on.
Some of the most important races are also happening much closer to home. They include mayoral races, contests for mayor in certain cities, battles over school board sears and a variety of other local political positions. This includes competition for local water board directors.
One such candidate is the current president of the West Valley Water District (WVWD) president, Kelvin Moore. Moore joined the WVWD Board of Directors in February 2022 and represents Division 3 which includes the community of Rialto.
In addition to his successful leadership of the WVWD, Moore also currently serves as Director of Environmental Services for Kaiser Permanente, where he manages the day-to-day operations of the organization’s medical centers and office buildings.
In addition to his work with Kaiser Permanente,Moore currently serves as a member of the City of Rialto Transportation Commission and as a board member for the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center Federal Credit Union and Fontana Pastors United, a group that connects churches in the region and provides civic, community and crisis response engagement.
In his position as Director of Division 3, Moore utilizes his extensive career in environmental services, as well as his experience in community and government engagement.
Moore has successfully leveraged his extensive experience to assist the WVWD Board of Directors in finding ways to connect with ratepayers and meet the needs of the community.
