The Southern California Black Chamber of Commerce (SCBCC) will host their fourth annual Unity in Diversity Business Summit on May 7-9, 2026 at the Delta Hotel in Ontario, California.
SCBCC uplifts Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs through education, advocacy, and strategic partnerships. This entrepreneur summit and awards dinner unites corporate partners, founders and government agencies to offer education, networking, and resources to bolster small business growth throughout Southern California.
The event features guest speakers like State Treasurer Fiona Ma, State Controller Malia M. Cohen, Danetta Jackson from the Department of General Services, and Executive Director of California Black Media, Regina Brown Wilson. There will be a schedule of different business workshop sessions that attendees can choose from, topics include tax strategy, branding, and artificial intelligence for small businesses. Representatives from local, state, and federal agencies are also expected to participate and give direct access to procurement opportunities.
“A lot of times we’re afraid of the fact that we’re different, but it’s really brilliant when you bring so many different minds and different attitudes and different perspectives to the table, because we can come up with something better than if everybody just thinks the same,” said Nikisha Bond, SCBCC’s vice president of corporate affairs.
“We’ve just been really going strong and partnering with a lot of great state and federal agencies and a lot of banks and other institutions because we wanted to have a way where you can get a one stop shop for all of your business needs,” Bond continued.
The full three day attendance is not mandatory and the SCBCC gives attendees the option to buy full conference admission tickets, single ticket conference admission, and dinner tickets. Those who want to attend can purchase their tickets on the SCBCC website and use the discount code shared with Black Voice News: Rich2026 for $50 off. Tickets will also be sold at the entrance for those who haven’t yet purchased.
“If you’re looking for the education part, that’s going to be during the conference on Thursday and Friday. If you’re looking to network and see us hand out some community awards to all the people who are doing phenomenal things in the community, that’s going to be on Saturday night,” Bond shared.
“We had a great turnout last year, and this year we’re hoping to do about the same, maybe a little bit more. I’ve noticed that as things in the world kind of pick up, I’m noticing a need for community. So I do expect for us to have over 100 people there,” Bond said.
The summit wraps up on the evening of May 9, with an awards dinner to honor leaders and institutions that make a positive impact across Southern California. The event is open to small business owners, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and corporate partners interested in supporting economic growth and innovation. Up next for SCBCC will be their 30th annual Celebrity Golf Classic on June 18, 2026 at the Brookside Golf Club.
