In an effort to continue the tradition of celebrating excellence, please join Youth Action Project (YAP), Black Voice News Foundation, Young Visionaries and Buffong Consulting as they announce the 4th Annual Inland Empire High School Black Graduate Recognition Ceremony. This experience emboldens graduates as they move to the next phase of their lives.
This event will take place at 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Santos Manuel Student Union on the campus of California State University San Bernardino. Dr. Will Greer is the keynote speaker. All participants will receive a Kente cloth stole and a certificate of congratulations. In addition, scholarships will be awarded to African American graduates from throughout the Inland Empire who are selected by the Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship Committee is particularly interested in students who have demonstrated a commitment to community involvement, academic excellence and ethical leadership.
Students who reside within San Bernardino and Riverside counties may register for this event and find the scholarship application on FaceBook at IE Black Graduation. Registration is $5.00 and registration is limited to the first 300 students. Admission is free to the public.
