Black women in America face significant challenges due to political, social, and economic manipulations, with the most recent federal actions causing devastation in the community, and Black women want laws, social programs, education, employment, and economic opportunities to reflect the rights and needs of women and children in the nation.

ICE agents launch an attack on residents of an apartment complex in the middle of the night Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, located on the Southside of Chicago. The attack was made under the guise of searching for Venezuelan gang members. It left residents of the predominantly Black neighborhood traumatized. (youtube.com)

A few days ago, the U.S. Supreme Court reversed the judgement of two lower courts that had previously barred immigration agents from stopping people in Los Angeles “without” reasonable suspicion and, based solely on any one of, or combination of the following: “apparent race or ethnicity; speaking Spanish or English with an accent; presence in a particular location like a bus stop, car wash, or agricultural site; or the type of work a person does.” The decision was made through an opaque “shadow docket” process.
