Riverside City College’s Culinary Academy invites the community to enjoy an elegant evening of dining at the “2013 California Autumn Nights” annual fundraiser on Friday, October 18 at the RCC Culinary Academy. The evening starts with a 6:30 pm wine and hors d’oeuvres reception and continues through a six-course meal. All proceeds go to support the Academy’s programs and students.

This year’s menu is inspired by German cuisine and seasonal flavors. First course includes: German charcuterie platter, which exhibits the craft of sausage making. Second course: A hearty goulash soup. Third course:
Kopf salad made with Boston lettuce and mustard vinaigrette dressing. Intermezzo: Hoegarden-Lime sorbet. Main course: Veal medallions topped with sautéed mushrooms, white wine and a rich cream sauce. Includes flour dumplings browned in butter and roasted root vegetables. Dessert course: Warm apple strudel and vanilla ice cream with German black forest cake.
Tickets for “California Autumn Nights” are limited and cost $50 per person. Proceeds benefit student culinary competitions and other activities at the Academy. For more information, call Chef Bobby’s office at 951-328-3807. The RCC Culinary Academy is located at 1155 Spruce Street, Riverside.
