Public Hearing to Discuss Renewable Energy

Public Hearing to Discuss Renewable Energy

San Bernardino

Members of the community are encouraged to attend a public hearing to consider an amendment to San Bernardino County’s Renewable Energy and Conservation Element of the County’s General Plan. The proposed amendment would add a policy that would limit the areas where utility-oriented renewable energy projects will be permitted. According to county officials although all interested persons are welcomed to attend and be heard, due to time constraints and the number of persons wishing to speak, time restrictions may be placed on oral testimony during the hearing. As an option, parties may submit their comments in writing.

The hearing is scheduled on Thursday, February 28, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Temporary Chamber of the Board of Supervisors, County Government Center, 385 North Arrowhead Avenue, First Floor, San Bernardino. Questions regarding the hearing can be directed to the Planning Division of the Land Use Services Department at (909) 387-8311.
