Probate Trials Suspended
On Friday, Jan. 8 the San Bernardino County Superior Court announced probate trials are being temporarily suspended effective Feb. 1 through Feb. 28, 2021 in order to provide appropriate notice to all parties due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases within the county and the current regional stay-at-home order. The announcement came a day after the court announced suspension of In-Person Family Centered Case Resolution Status conferences.
Traffic Tickets with Hearing Dates
Individuals who received traffic tickets in San Bernardino County with court appearance dates that fall during the COVID-19 stay-at-home order will not be issued a warrant for arrest during the closure. Instead, they will receive a new hearing date in the mail. They can also visit the court’s website sb-court.org to view their new hearing date and time.
Traffic Tickets that Need to Be Paid
During the stay-at-home order if you have a traffic ticket in San Bernardino County you are encouraged to pay your ticket online at sb-court.org/divisions/traffic/pay-traffic-ticket or by phone. San Bernardino Traffic Court also advises that it is not necessary to request a payment extension for payments due during the closure, as these payment due dates are being extended. Also, due to limited staffing, please be aware that you may see some delays in posting of your payment.
