On Saturday, June 14, community members, advocates and allies in Fontana gathered in solidarity against the ongoing ICE raids. The organizers called for action, stating “fight for our family, friends, neighbors and community,” as well as “support your fellow humans!”
This demonstration came among nation-wide protests across hundreds of U.S. cities throughout the weekend, in protest of both the federal immigration raids and President Donald Trump’s other actions.
According to the ACLU, five million people showed up for “No Kings” protests in which opponents of President Donald Trump’s administration rallied amid a military parade in Washington D.C. to celebrate the Army’s 250th anniversary. The army’s anniversary coincides with Trump’s birthday.
The movement has been organized to reject authoritarianism, billionaire-first politics and the militarization of the country’s democracy, according to a statement by 50501, the organizers.
Protesters shared that they marched for those who couldn’t and to honor and defend the Inland Empire’s vast immigrant community and their contributions.

She explained that she attended in support of undocumented family members as well as “everybody and anybody.” “It makes me really proud, because all of us are here together, supporting each other. The couple handed out red cards with tips to inform carriers of their rights and help them defend themselves during ICE raids.“You don’t need to talk to them. You don’t need to open the door for them. You don’t need to give them any kind of information of yours unless they have a warrant signed by a judge with your name on it. Other than that, give them this,” said Blue about the cards. “Say your piece or don’t say anything at all. Walk away. That’s it. They can’t detain you.”(Aryana Noroozi for Black Voice News / CatchLight Local)Protesters march across Sierra Avenue in Fontana on June 14, 2025.
