More than ten years after the Dec. 2, 2015, terrorist attack at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, County officials have released a commemorative documentary capturing the tragedy’s enduring impact and the remarkable resilience of the local community.
The documentary moves beyond the events of Dec. 2, to focus on the decade of healing that followed.
Through deeply personal interviews, the film features family members of the victims, survivors, first responders, and community leaders reflecting on grief, remembrance, and the ongoing work of preserving the legacy of those who were lost.
A central focus of the film is the creation of the Curtain of Courage memorial, located at the San Bernardino County Government Center.
Developed over years of close collaboration with survivors and victims’ families, the memorial stands as a physical testament to compassion and strength. The documentary offers a look behind the scenes at how the memorial was envisioned, designed, and dedicated to ensure the community never forgets.
