The CARE Project, Inc. and the Riverside Airport Cafe are teaming up to host the 2026 “Casino Night with CARE” fundraising gala on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at 6951 Flight Road in Riverside.
Labeled as a “party with a purpose,” the annual event brings community members together to raise critical funds that deliver immediate financial and emotional relief to Inland Empire families navigating a breast cancer diagnosis.
The collaboration represents a deeply personal commitment for Riverside Airport Cafe owner Leimamo Taylor, whose family has been directly impacted by breast cancer. To ensure event proceeds are fully optimized for patient care, Taylor offered her venue to anchor the fundraiser, keeping operational overhead low. What began as a personal friendship between Taylor and Carrie Madrid, Founder and CEO of The CARE Project, has since grown into a strategic partnership.
“The CARE Project is strongly committed to supporting the small businesses who step up to support our small nonprofit,” Madrid said, emphasizing the vital bond between local commerce and grassroots community support.
Funds raised throughout the evening directly support everyday necessities for local residents undergoing treatment, bypassing bureaucratic red tape to provide funding for medical co-pays, prescription costs, housing rent, utilities, groceries, and transportation to medical appointments. Additionally, a specialized partnership with LymphaDivas allows the organization to supply compression sleeves, gauntlets, and gloves at no cost to survivors managing lymphedema.
Beyond financial assistance, The CARE Project addresses the profound need for emotional support through peer mentoring, the Survivor Social Club, and end-of-life doula advocacy for terminally ill patients.
Guests attending the high-energy evening will enjoy light bites and refreshments courtesy of the Riverside Airport Cafe, outdoor dancing on the patio, a dedicated photo booth, a silent auction, and starter “CARE Cash” voucher chips for charity casino gameplay. Free parking is available for all attendees.
