California State Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) and numerous state legislators will phone bank and walk precincts this Sunday in support of Assemblywoman Cheryl Brown’s re-election campaign. There will be a rally at 10 a.m. at the campaign headquarters located at 140 W. Rialto Avenue in Rialto.
“I want to thank Speaker Rendon, my colleagues and our volunteers for their strong and dedicated support of my re-election campaign,” stated Assemblywoman Brown. “I am honored and grateful to have earned their trust in my leadership and advocacy for the constituents of the 47th Assembly District that I have represented for two terms. I thank all of my colleagues for their efforts on behalf of my re-election campaign.”
In May, Speaker Rendon, Majority Floor Leader Ian Calderon (D-Whittier), Assistant Speaker Pro Tem Autumn Burke (D-Inglewood) and Assemblymembers Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego), Ed Chau (D-Monterey Park), Reggie Jones-Sawyer (D-Los Angeles), Tom Daly (Anaheim), Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona) and Jose Medina (D-Riverside) stood in solidarity at a rally for Assemblywoman Brown’s re-election campaign in Rialto.
During the event, Speaker Rendon made remarks about Assemblywoman Brown’s invaluable leadership before a diverse group of union representatives, business owners, local elected officials, law enforcement, faith-based leaders and community supporters. He applauded her for being a common sense leader who represents the diverse interests of her constituents and fights for them every day in the state legislature.
This weekend, Speaker Rendon will continue his efforts to help Assemblywoman Brown win her re-election campaign to continue representing the 47th Assembly District.
