Allen Chapel AME Church Welcomes New Pastor

Allen Chapel AME Church would like to formally welcome its new pastor, Reverend Noella Austin Buchanan and her husband, Reverend Dr. Morris Buchanan, spiritual advisor of Allen Chapel, Back to the Inland Empire. The couple recently returned to the area from pastoring one of the leading churches in St. Louis, St. James AME Church. Prior to that assignment Rev. Buchanan established the missions-centered Corona AME Church, where she is still very highly esteemed
Reverend Buchanan accepted her assignment to pastor Allen Chapel in November of last year and since that time, she has established several outreach programs designed to reach youth, seniors and homeless persons in the community. “Reverend Noe”, as she is affectionately called, hit the ground running, and under her leadership the church has experienced a tremendous spiritual rebirth. Dozens have united with the church under her leadership by rededication, re-affiliation, and many have come as new Christians.
The church congregation invites you to study God’s word with us on Sundays at 9:00 and to stay for morning worship service, which begins at 10:15; On 1st Sunday evenings from 6:00 -7:00, there is Communion Service for those who cannot attend in the morning. Allen Chapel AMEC is also active during the week: on Tuesdays the Women’s Missionary Society provides hot meals and clothing for those in need; on Wednesdays we have two dynamic Bible Study sessions—at 10:00a.m. and 6:00p.m.
In the coming weeks we have a series of outings planned for youth and young adults: Friday, May 17 is Family Night with food and games for all; on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, our Men’s Chorus will be featured during the morning service; June 19-21 is Vacation Bible School, June 28 is our Women’s Revival featuring Evangelist Carrie Holden Bias from Los Angeles, followed by our Annual Women’s Conference on Saturday, June 29 where guest speakers discuss relevant community issues.
