Redlands – The Redlands Fire Department is working in partnership with the nonprofit organization, Building A Generation, to collect new, unwrapped toys or sports equipment and distribute them to underserved children in the local community. The effort will continue until Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24.

The toy drive, which began November 24, hopes to collect no less than 1,000 donated toys. The toys and sports equipment can be dropped off at any Redlands Fire Station or the BAG office. Bag is located at 932 W. Cypress Ave, Redlands. Those wishing to support this effort can also donate and ship toys directly to BAG online at https://www.buildingageneration.org/sol.

BAG works to serve children and parents by providing education, support and connections to community resources to help them become healthy and self-sufficient families. The agency’s initiatives include after school programs and family advocacy. Its education programs include a focus on nutrition, parenting and mental health.
