Rising Cases of Congenital Syphilis in Newborns Highlight Need for Timely Testing and Treatment

The CDC has reported a tenfold increase in cases of congenital syphilis in the US, with 231 stillbirths and 51 infant deaths reported in 2022, highlighting the need for increased access to prenatal care and screenings for syphilis.
