Riverside, CA – The Riverside Center for Healthy Communities is leading the effort to facilitate innovative research aimed at improving the health of culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse communities in the region, especially those who are medically under-resourced.
One of the ways they work to achieve this is by hosting and sponsoring event geared towards minorities, under-resourced, and community members.
On Friday, March 6, 2020, the Center is hosting a free film screening for “Salud Sin Papeles” (Health Undocumented). “Salud Sin Papeles,” a powerful film showing how a community built a free clinic for undocumented immigrants in Arizona. This film shows the vulnerable and challenging journey that undocumented immigrants face in contemporary society. It also sends a message of human solidarity and how communities stand together to overcome oppression.
There will be two showings (10 AM and 1:30 PM). The film will be in Spanish with English subtitles. Follow this link to view a trailer of the movie https://vimeo.com/233755003.
