San Bernardino County Library was recently named the first-ever recipient of the “Best of the Best” library in the region by Inland Empire readers. This marked a historic milestone under this newly established category.
This inaugural recognition, as reported by sbccounty.gov, highlights the library system’s exceptional service, innovation and lasting impact across the region. “The award underscores the trust and value that residents place in County Library as a vital resource for learning, connection and opportunity,” the county reported. Candidates for the honor were selected directly by members of the community.
The San Bernardino County Library system is a network of 32 branch libraries. It serves the area’s diverse population over its vast geographic region.
“To be the very first library recognized in this category is an incredible honor,” said County Librarian Melanie Orosco. “It reflects not only the dedication and passion of our staff as well as the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors, but also the strong support of the communities we serve. We are proud to set the standard and will continue striving to exceed expectations.”
The library system offers a variety of services from early literacy and student resources to workforce development tools, cultural events and innovative Garner Holt Animaker Spaces. It also continues to expand its offerings to support residents of all ages.
The county reports how signature programs and events — ranging from hands-on learning experiences to community celebrations — have helped position the library as more than a place for books, but as a vital community cornerstone. For more information about the San Bernardino County Library system, visit library.sbcounty.gov, call 909-387-2220 or follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
