Vote YES on Measure Q

Vote YES on Measure Q

Some people are spouting off at the mouth that the San Bernardino Police Association is supporting the NO on Measure Q campaign but from my information this is not true. The police association is bending over backwards to do everything to work with the city’s elected leaders to help the city come out of bankruptcy. This I have heard from the mayor himself. This is good and refreshing news especially since I have been a critic of some of their positions in the past.

I take from the police association that they understand the financial situation of city government and the people who live in the city paying for employment salaries of employees that provide services to the people.

I know that they could be hard nosed like the firefighters association and say “to heck with the people in the city because we have a charter approved right to our high salaries”. The San Bernardino Firefighters Association is funding the NO against Measure Q, saying it is wrong for San Bernardino.

The fire association is saying that a YES vote would cut paramedic services, this is not true. A YES vote will continue medical services coming to our aide without an expensive fire engine and four firefighters standing around being in the mix with highly trained Emergency Medical Technicians who have connections to hospital staff and ambulances to transport those in medical distress.

A YES vote will put our elected leaders back in control of our city when it comes to the salaries of firefighters, who are among some of the best paid in the state of California. A YES vote will move us closer to being removed from bankruptcy. So join with many other citizens and myself and vote YES in support of Measure Q.
