The federal government is working to prevent the family of San Bernardino terrorists Syed Rizwan Farook from collecting on his life insurance policy. Farook allegedly left the policy to his mother to accommodate the care of his infant child. However, government officials have asserted the policy should not be paid to Farook’s mother because his death resulted from a terrorist act. Farook and his wife were killed in a shoot-out with police subsequent to the terrorist attack on the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino last December.
