Slave Food: Keys to Unlocking Better Eating

Riverside

Members of the community are welcomed to participate in a discussion of the breakthrough publication, Slave Food: Keys to Unlocking Better Eating, by Dr. Eric Walsh and Dr. Columbus Batiste.   Beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday August 17, 2019, the duo will provide information and insight regarding why much of the food consumed today is practically killing members of low-income communities, particularly communities of color.   Dr. Eric Walsh serves as Medical Director for Urgent Care Services, with a double doctorate in medicine and public health.  He is passionate about educating people on ways to improve their mental, physical, and spiritual health.  As a result, he has taken his talents across the world and has given lectures and sermons on every continent.  Dr. Columbus Batiste serves as Chief of Cardiology and Director of an Integrative Cardiovascular Disease program.  He is a passionate double board-certified Interventional Cardiologist who has incorporated the power of a whole food plant-based diet combined with exercise and stress reduction in his management of patients.  If you would like to learn more about where our food comes from and how you can develop a healthy lifestyle to reverse disease, combat illness, and live vibrantly, please join the conversation on Saturday August 17 at the Kansas Ave SDA Church, 4491 Kansas Avenue, Riverside. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
