As far back in time as can be determined, throughout the African continent there has been acceptance of an Eternal Cosmic Force. The Khoisan (whom Europeans derogatorily call Hottentots), among the earliest people on earth–if not the earliest—had stories of the supreme god Cagn (also known as Kaang)–as early as 100,000 years ago or before. They deemed Cagn to be the first Being, the World’s creator, Unknowable because of being beyond the limits of their minds to grasp, but Knowable by means of Seeable Correspondences in Nature. Based upon these manifestations, Very Ancient Africans arranged and combined their ingredients into framework forms. That began African Tradition’s formal Ontology (study of the essence of Being or what is or what exists); Cosmology (the study of the structure and laws of the Universe and the manner of their creation);Epistomology (how people know what they know about reality or phenomena); and Axiology (study of the nature of Values and Value Judgments). They: (1) looked behind the obvious to see what underlies the compared Things (e.g. events) and from those natural aspects discovered Inner Similarities, despite having dissimilar appearances; (2) determined those compared Things possessed Inner Similarities from sharing consistent, permanent, stationary, and unchanging essence patterns or elements; and (3) inferred those Things compared originated from a shared common origin and also followed the course of Nature’sProcesses along a similar Metaphysical course. These 3 established a Correspondence interrelationship, as agreed upon by African Sages, Metaphysicians (African Philosophers particularly interested in Ontology) and African people alike. The standard for Correspondence was based upon Observations conforming to Nature’s Laws and/or similar Natural Mathematical Patterns and Processes. Examples then, and now, include the Unconditional Love human and animal mothers give their newborns; all in the Animal Kingdom sharing basic Survival needs (e.g. food, water, sleep/hibernate, reproduction); and all Creatures have life-span.
To this end, in college I was taught the Theory of Recapitulation (Biogenetic law; Embryological Parallelism): "Ontogeny recapitulates Phylogeny". This means that in developing from embryo to adult, animals go through stages resembling or representing successive stages in the evolution of their remote ancestors. Although now largely discredited by most authorities, they do not know enough to be certain, since they lack the ability to ever know the deepest or immaterial aspects of the Inner Similarities comprising any Cosmic Creature or Creation. To elaborate, African Tradition’s “Idea-Form” means the Spiritual Elements “Genetics” equate to the Spirit (the “Idea”) while what is humanly discernable equates to Matter (the “Form”). In the Subjective Realm and prior to Earth World birth, into the Soul of a human-to-be was imparted an Essence Spark of God’s Substance “Flame”. This represents ones “Pre-Existent” Spirit. Although all humans share the same “Genetics” of the Spiritual Elements of Unconditional Love, Truth, Reality, and the Natural, the “Genes” of those “Genetics” have “Unique” arrangements and combinations. That gives an individualized Form to each Creature. As a given human-to-be “descends” towards the Material World, Matter is continually added to design a Matter Existence by the time of Earthly birth. Ones customized “Genetic” Form makes for a Self-Identity + a Real Self “Constant” + Matter—each uniquely differs from all other humans throughout life.
Within any given human-to-be, Spirit and Matter aspects work harmoniously. As a result of Earth World birth, now interacting on this Real Self “Constant,” there are 2 main “Streaming” variables. First are the alterations from “Nature/Nurture” interactions. Nurture is the sum Effects of environmental influences and conditions acting on an organism. Second is ones manipulate/maneuver Free Will choices of ones Real Self “Constant” Ingredients. If one cultivates ones Real Self birth-gift Essence ingredients, one nourishes the various aspects of ones Spiritual Elements and their attributes. As a result, ones Character’s Spiritual Elements act instinctively and spontaneously—i.e. think, feel, say, actions, and reaction happenings powered by Natural Order to reproduce themselves and become the thing they make. By contrast, choosing to make any self-alterations in what is outside ones Soul’s Essence Natural Order processes leads one to become a False Self, orchestrated by ones Ego. Then ones Character displays a Mild to Extreme Disharmony range. jabaileymd.com; JABLifeSkills; Theievoice.com
