Another inland region official was indicted Friday, this time in the City of Beaumont. City Councilmember Mark Orozco was charged with nine counts of perjury rooted in allegations that he falsely identified campaign funds on a disclosure document required by the Fair Political Practices Commission, Form 460. Form 460 requires politicians to disclose the names of campaign contributors, the amount received, and how the money is spent, including who received money from the candidate. Orozco’s bail is set at $25,000. If convicted, he could serve up to 13 years in prison.
