FATHERS IN CHILDREN’S LIVES

by Dr. Joseph A. Bailey II, MD., FACS on 2nd-May-2017

Foundational for any father is to see the "Big Picture" of the scope of family factors—whether as a single parent or he is working with the mother of the family. That “Big Picture” concerns: (I) Jegna (African-centered) “Manhood” whose focus is on Provision, Protection, and Productions—all for the nurturance, development, and of benefitting the family. Regardless of how problematic a man’s life is at this point, the only way to shed it is to extract from it a Sankofa future by: (1) returning to our super-brilliant Ancient African Ancestors’ Traditions to learn Principles of how to; (2) Prepare in the present (3) in order to go forward into a Thriving future–all staying within the boundaries of Ancient Africans' terminology definitions and descriptions. If working with the mother, both he and she, like "Interlocking Rings" separately do what they do but, in the rings’ Interchange, work together as a team to cultivate a Masterpiece child. Teamwork concerns: A. Approaches–the way a goal is reached from both having internalized like-kind African Tradition Ma’at Values. Nothing matches the parents sharing a Ma'at system of Values inside a Peaceful, Calm, and Fun home environment. Otherwise, parents’ individuality shows in their: B. Methods–how to do the job (e.g. encourage the child to follow his/her own path and with Courage); C. Techniques–how tools are used in the approach and method (e.g. by having good manners towards and good behaviors with each other); and D. Manners–the different ways a technique can be handled. The more this Caring and Appreciation process is applied to family members and the more family members are a part of this team, the stronger will be "The Family".

(II) Fathers orchestrate creating, enhancing, or maintaining Harmony. Fundamental is to lay out a Family Mission, for there is no better way for one to plan out ones life and have Self-Improvement things to work on daily. To have a Mission makes life far, far easier to live through than to aimlessly “drift”. While one seeks ones own individual liberation and Human Ideal Perfection, one does all one reasonably can to earnestly assist in the liberation and Human Ideal perfection of each family member. Next to the cornerstone of ones life—i.e. Unconditional Love—is achieving Self-Improvement stepping stones, pausing at each to celebrate. Examples include: cultivating Selfhood Greatness in each family member; make Critical/Rational/Common Sense family games; challenge each member to shed delusions about religion or of any unexamined Assumptions on the way to acquiring a Free Mind; ensure all family members do house work, work to benefit the Needy, and work for pay so as to learn as much about the Marketplace and money as is possible; emphasize being a Self-Made person who is Self-Reliant. Instead of Blaming or complaining, use the difficulties one has in life as a tool to force out the divine powers within ones Selfhood so they can be cultivated; get a lesson out of every problem; use every situation to learn how and what to learn. Playfulness, silliness, wit, and ongoing humor are extremely valuable for “togetherness” and learning creativity. While proceeding with ones purpose, teach how to handle “Down Times” and Set-backs by remaining calm and immediately facing all problems directly.

These: (a) give birth to oneself so as to reach ones full birth gift potentials; (b) is Right Life Living; (c) is something ‘bigger than oneself’ to live for; and (d) makes a contribution to “ME/WE” Humanity’s supreme Purpose. It enlists all of ones inner powers, gives unity and direction to ones life, and tranquilizes ones Selfhood in the process. These associations make life Significant and Meaningful—as noted by a sense of “Aliveness”—not “Excitement.” One Talent drived Mission must be so big as to challenge one to produce fully everyEndowment (i.e. natural qualities) and Propensity (in-born tendencies, as ones capacities, abilities, and language)–which operate some process of ones Selfhood.  (III) Protecting and Defending against Disharmony is vital because today’s world Supernatural cult operates on the ancient Greek Heraclitus’ observation that Conflict, not harmony, is the true and proper state for the maintenance of the good—“strife is justice—and war is the father of all” (Asante, Egyptian Philosophies p41). He taught the use of political cunning, intrigue, and dishonorable acts. Handling this starts with a “Know-What” and “Big Picture” reflections on the “Know-How” in order to neutralize the “Why”. Self-Reliance–Continuity of Purpose–ones Mission work are perhaps the most fundamental ingredients of Happiness in ones Senior years. jabaileymd.com; JABLifeSkills; Theievoice.com
