The African American Coalition hosted the 4th Annual African American Family Reunion at Celebration Park in Moreno Valley last Saturday. Hundreds of community members came out to participate. Founded by Dr. Denise Fleming, Moreno Valley Unified School Board member and candidate for the mayor of the city, the coalition consists of many different organizations, entrepreneurs, community leaders and residents working together in one voice. The group meets monthly and organizes activities throughout the year including the Red & Black Ball in February.
