Last week, the Morongo Band of Mission Indians in Riverside County donated 10,000 turkeys. This marks the 31st year the tribe has given away turkeys to nonprofit organizations, churches and charities across the Southern California Region. During those 31 years, the tribe’s continuous generosity has provided nearly two million meals. This year’s turkeys are expected to provide holiday meals for more than 200,000 men, women and children of all ages through 116 different charity organizations like the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission and Martha’s Village among others.
